Citibank has two special offers going right now. According to the bank’s website, Citi has both a high-yield online certificate of deposit and, separately, a business checking account with several free bonus features.

Citi’s 5-year CD can be opened over the Internet, with a minimum deposit of $500. The annual percentage yield is 2.50%, and the account is insured up to $250,000 by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The CD special can also be opened over the phone, Citi says.

In addition, Citibank is also advertising a bunch of free bonuses included with the bank’s CitiBusiness Streamlined Checking account (known as Flexible Checking in the states of Texas, California, and Nevada). You can enroll with a new or current account; perks include $50 cash back bonus on your business debit card and a $100 rebate on merchant processing services. The program, called CitiBusiness Preferred Banking, also boasts a free check scanner with a free month of remote deposit, plus preferred rates on loans and money market savings accounts.

Hammered by the banking crisis, Citibank parent Citigroup announced that they would pare back their previous “global supermarket model,” focusing instead on core businesses such as retail banking.
