If you have a Bank of America ATM, debit, or credit card, you can get free admission to participating museums on the first full weekend of every month, according to a current BofA promotion. The bank’s Museums on Us program also includes attractions such as zoos, science centers, and botanical gardens; Bank of America’s promotional website has a tool that you can use to search for museums and other attractions near you.
For now, Bank of America’s Museums on Us lists the following eligible weekends for free attendance in 2010:
- March 6-7
- April 3-4
- May 1-2
- June 5-6
- July 3-4
- August 7-8
- September 4-5
Of course, you would be limited to the particular museum’s or zoo’s own hours of operation, as well. In Philadelphia for instance there are five participating locations listed, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the National Constitution Center. (A cursory glance at the participating locations shows most in big cities of course, and in states where Bank of America would have the largest presence/market share, which makes sense.)
The Museums on Us program does require that you present a photo ID along with your Bank of America card when attending one of the listed attractions, of which there are over 100 according to BofA’s website.
